Snapshot of a Typical School Day at CHS

The school day at Charterhouse begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:15 p.m. with six, 55 minute class periods, and a 30 minute lunch break.  Core classes, including English, History, Math and Science, are taught each day.  Students leave their homerooms for electives two periods each day. 

During the week students attend Art classes and a collaborative English/Art class.  In Art they work in the mediums of clay, drawing, sculpture, jewelry, fabric art and paint.  Also during the week students attend music class where they sing and learn to play instruments.  Students in the music classes are given the opportunity to perform during our commencements. 

All students at Charterhouse School are enrolled in our Health/PE class to ensure their overall health and wellness.  Charterhouse students also participate in a Horticulture class and work in the greenhouse.

Finally, students have Computer Technology and Computer/Math.
