C2S Physics Student Pursues his Goals in Full “Force”

Paul, a second-year Courage to Succeed student, embodies independence and mastery, two of the four pillars of the Circle of Courage®. He has shown leadership in academics and career planning. Below he discusses what steps he is taking to achieve his goal of becoming a physics professor.

“My career aspirations are to complete my time at Reynolds Community College and then go on to a four year college. I want to go to James Madison University. I hope to eventually get a job as a physics professor. I have always liked science, so I think that I would like to teach it. I took a physics class in high school and I enjoyed it, which is why I want to pursue it more. So far I have been taking math classes that are necessary for what I want to do.”
